Last I checked, this anime was available on DVD at Amazon and Anime Nation, and on VHS at Amazon.

Yakumo's life turned very strange when a girl named Pai met him and told him that he needed to help her find the Statue of Humanity. He learns that Pai is not really human, but wants to be.

Before he can realize just what he's getting himself into, Yakumo falls victim to Pai's overprotective pet, and Pai does the only thing she can to save him: she takes hold of his soul, rendering him unkillable.

And the quest is just beginning as Yakumo and Pai travel between Japan and Hong Kong in search of the elusive Statue of Humanity (aka the Ningen Nozo), a statue that many people seem to want and will do anything to get, especially when they're demons from the Shadow World! Horrors abound and secrets unfold as forces battle for control of the ancient artifact.
