It all begins in Kakeru's home city, who, in a meeting of destiny, Hakase says to him that "the pipo monkeys are on the loose!". And it is Kakeru destiny to catch the monkeys, defeat Specter... and Axel Dark-Key!

This is the first anime for the highly-popular Japan series of "Saru get you" or Ape Escape. Also, it is based on Ape Escape 1 and Ape Escape: Million Monkeys.
