Ex Machina is the long-awaited sequel to the 2004 Appleseed Movie. Produced by action-director John Woo, we once again revisit the post-World War III city of Olympus after the events of the first movie. Deunan Knute and Briareos continue to protect the human/Bioroid population of Olympus as members of the police force ESWAT. However, their relationship is put to the test when they are introduced to a new memeber of their ranks. A Bioroid named Tereus.

Tereus was created using Gaia and Briareos' human DNA, which makes him resemble Briareos before he lost his body! A triangle forms between them when Tereus develops feelings for Deunan. However, that's not the only problem at hand, especially when a deadly group of terrorists plots to control the will of everyone on Earth. What will happen between the two partners, and can they bring this new threat down as well?
