Like the Animatrix, Batman: Gotham Knight is the collaboration between DC Comics and anime industry's most famous directors and producers. This anthology is told in six short films all taking place in between "Batman Begins" and the upcoming sequel "The Dark Knight." All six stories tell of Batman's transition from tormented vigilante to the Dark Knight and the protector of the crime-riddled Gotham. Some of the topics discussed include the mythos of the Batman told by children, the race to protect his future friend James Gordon from a deadly assassin, and the physical and mental torments Bruce Wayne endures as he develops as the Batman.
