Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) is a wonderful anime, full of dark, eccentric and amusing characters, adapted from the original manga, written by Yana Toboso.
Ciel Phantomhive, heir to the Phantomhive household, signs a contract with a demon, who becomes his gracious, courteous and talented butler, Sebastian Michaels.
Despite Ciel's young age, his intentions drive him to use his royal relatives and servants as his chess pieces, only to realise his goal through using Sebastian.
Throughout the series, Ciel finds himself meeting very interesting characters, ranging from psychotic shinigamis to lonely princes and much more, using his contract with Sebastian to help him along the way.

I wholeheartedly salute all those who love this anime for MORE than superficial reasons (e.g. thinking Sebastian is hot or Ciel is "kawaii"--by the way, I detest the word "kawaii"). If you are one who enjoys this show and/or the manga for its plot, then kudos to you! You're awesome.
I think I may submit some character profiles, because there are NONE here at the moment--which is truly sad.
Another thing that saddens me is the lack of intelligent typing and the general mindset of the standard English speaking "otaku". It makes my heart weep to know I hail from an English speaking country. Shame on you all. ... show more »

Kuroshitsuji has got to be one of the greatest anime's that has a dark side to it. it gets you hooked from the very start. Kuroshitsuji 2 should be a interesting sequel to watch.
