Character Description: Grimmjow Jaggerjack
Grimmjow Jaggerjack (also romanised as Grim Jaw Jaguarjack) is the sexta, or sixth, espada in Sousuke Aizen's army of Arrancar, and therefore the sixth strongest. As an Arrancar, he was once a hollow, a deceased human soul that is corrupted and consumes other souls, until he removed his mask with the aid of Sousuke Aizen's Hougyoku, or Orb of Distortion.
Impulsive, violent and hot-tempered, Grimmjow has a tendency to act before he thinks. He bears a strong dislike for Bleach's protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki, and vows to destroy him. There is also some enmity between Grimmjow and Kaname Tousen, one of Aizen's lieutenants, who cut off one of his arms when he became momentarily uncontrollable. This arm was later restored by Orihime Inoue.
The name of his zanpakutou, the sword that contains his sealed hollow form, is revealed to be Pantera in manga chapter 281, page 6. Its release word is 'kishire', Japanese for 'grind'.
