Character Description: Isshin Kurosaki
Ichigo's father, Ishiin Kurosaki, is a soul reaper himself, and is a captain class. That's why Ichigo has soul reaper powers.
He said in an episode that every captain class Soul Reaper should learn to control their zanpakotou's size, or else it would be very huge as the size of the zanpakotou is reflected by the spirit energy a person has. But he is hiding his Soul Reaper abilities. The reason is unknown. In one episode Uryuu Ishida's father says "Oh, so your shinigami powers have returned", which could mean that he had lost his power rather than having just been hiding them the entire time.

isshin kurosaki is just soo funny he cracks me up. I wonder why he always likes to rough house with ichigo all the time i mean come onn this his his son im talking about. although the show would not be any fun if he did not do this at all.
