Shirley is a cheerful girl in Code Geass, she is pretty and smart. She is part of the student body and on the swim team. Shirley is in love with Lelouch and it is obvious in the student body (except Lelouch). Milly is always making fun of her crush on Lelouch.
In season 1, Shirley's father dies and she ends up kissing Lelouch. Viletta shows up telling her Lelouch is Zero, but shoots her because she doesn't want others to know Lelouch's secret. Mao shows up manipulating with his geass to kill Lelouch, but couldn't do so. Lelouch used his geass to make Shirley forget about everything including ever knowing him.
In season 2, her affection towards Lelouch returns. Milly held an event before she left the academy to get the two together and it worked. Her memories of Zero was restored by Jerimiah. She was going to tell Suzaku but realizing his ambition she doesn't and wants to stay by his side. Shirley runs after Lelouch and Jerimiah but runs into Rolo trying to convince him to let her join. However, Shirley mentioning that she knows Lelouch is Zero made Rolo shoot her and cause her death. In the end she was able to confess her love to Lelouch at the very end.

no offense to shirley fans, but shirley and lelouch was NEVER MEANT TO BE. it's too bad that she died, but there was no more use for her in the show, so... heh.

It was pretty sad when Shirley died, but I'm kinda glad she did. A girl like her didn't deserve to exist in the messed up world of Code Geass. If she hadn't died, she would have suffered, probably. But I'm very, very sad that it was my Rolo-kun who killed her. Because now EVERYONE hates him for it. Man, I really did dislike her. I am kinda (extremely) glad she died, she just really annoyed me... just like Orihime Inoue. They look too much alike and they both are obnoxious... They just get in the way... ALL. THE. TIME.

Wow, there were 1 page and half of people that hate her... how can someone HATE her? I understand someone don't liking, but she is a great character, and for me she is the one who most deserved Lelouch... well in the end she is the only together with Lelouch... xD
