Herve is a genius, albeit a failed one. He is Jeremie's arch-nemesis, and is mostly seen escorting Sissi everywhere she goes. Herve is usually very mean, sometimes prone to violence, but mostly a depressed person, mostly because he's in love with Sissi but can't tell her. Thus, he is always sour towards Ulrich, Odd, and everyone else. However, he sometimes has a nicer side that surfaces when he's with either Yumi or his idiot of a best friend, Nicholas.

Herve is quite smart, often building robots like Jeremie or immersing himself in studies. However, he is not very brave, as he is easily scared by bees, enclosed spaces, and sometimes his own best friend. Overall, he serves the purpose of trying to aid Sissi in toppling our heroes, and, ironically, would probably succeed if his luck turned for the better.
