Character Description: Shuichi Aizawa

Aizawa is a member of the task force, and has a somewhat short temper. During part one, we get to know that he is married and has two children (a daughter and a son). Aizawa seems to be friends with Ide (which is understandable since they are both about the same age). Despite that he is a quite good policeman, he is limited because of the lack in authoritative power and gave little contribution to the overall investigation.

During the second part, Aizawa cuts his hair into a shorter style. He also suspects Light to be Kira, but he is afraid what the others will think of him. In the special one-shot, which is set three years after Light's death, Aizawa has been promoted to deputy manager.
