Mughi is Kei and Yuri's assistant on their various missions. His name is an acronym for "Military Unit Generating Human Intelligence". Created by Dr. Q, Mughi was supposed to resemble a huge panther, but in the end looks like a bear-sized, long-haired cat.

Mughi does possess human-level intelligence, which includes piloting the Lovely Angel, Kei and Yuri's ship. However, he hasn't learned to talk yet. And although he is a valuable aid to the Lovely Angels, he would prefer finding a quiet corner to sleep instead.

Note: In Dirty Pair Flash, Mughi resembles a normal house cat in kitten form, but has two tentacles protruding from the back, a trait shown by Mughi on the covers of the original Dirty Pair novels in Japan.
