Chase is a 10-year old impatient chef-in-training from Yokohama who is Chef Jack's son and Kayla's older brother. He trains under Oslo's supervision and makes more powerful foodons as he reaches his goal to become a master chef! His foodons include Fried Ricer, Hot Doggonit, a bunch of Burnt Meatballs, Fruiturtle, Shrimp Daddy, Dimsumthin' Special, and Feastivus. Chase, Fried Ricer, Sir Dumpling, Shrimp Daddy, Dimsumthin' Special, and the Burnt Meatballs can also merge together to form Palator, the foodon embodiment of light.

His Japanese name is Zen, but his English name is Chase.
In Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away, Cihiro's name started with the same letter, but it was changed to ZEN! (vice versa)
...Uh, that was just random weirdness. He's kinda cute! (just looked up this anime)
