I was really surprised! When I saw him from the back I was like "who the hell is that" and then he turned around and I was like "ohhh" I mean, we knew he had to be a shinigami at some point to become a vaizard but a captain? awesome! Same thing with the other vaizards too, it seems that all of them were higher ups in the soul society.
What surprised me was that Urahara worked under Yoruichi. I don't think we were ever told that.

Well it was already stated that Aizen was the vice-captain in squad 5 (During a flash back with Tousen) but I never would have expected Love and Shinji to be captains. That was shocking.

Yea, the Aizen vice captain didn't surprise me as much, like bhj said, it was in a flashback but the vaizard captains did surprise me.

That's a cool one! Zaraki is hard to cosplay as as it is! I'd like to cosplay as Ichigo, Yoruichi, and Kiyone at some point.

Oh yea, I thought of something earlier in the week. You all remember how we were talking about how Isshin might have been from the last of the 4 noble families? Well, what if he's actually a Shiba? I mean, Ichigo and Kaien look insanely alike and I noticed similarities between Karin and Kukaku when I looked at them

That theory is interesting, however, other than looks there doesn't seem to be anything else connecting the two families. I have to admit your one of the few people to notice a similarity between Karin and Kukaku, and I compliment you for that. In addition to your theory, most of the time the four noble families hold some position in the gotai 13, like the Kuchiki and Shihouin families, so it wouldn't be unheard of for the Shiba family to hold a position. The only thing is the time frame seems a bit off. From what I can tell, Isshin (who would have had to have left after Urahara and Yoruichi in order for the captains to not know much about Hitsugaya) would have been an active captain at the time of Kaien's death. So there would have been much more conflict in between, then again not much is said so once again this is unsolved speculation. Either way good job for thinking up a unique theory.
