Scientists say that the Earth's crust moves just a little every year. Whether it's a few inches or centimeters it moves... just a little.

Long ago an amazing thing was discovered. While scientists had been looking out among the stars for other distant planets to look upon, a new world was discovered. And it had been right under their noses. The movement in the Earth's crust had revealed a portal- a rift - into another dimension unknown. No one knew how it got there, only that it had been hiding for thousands of years. And feeling curious, the scientists went to investigate, as all scientists do.

The world they found was nicknamed after the thing they had found it in; Rift. It was futuristic and glorious to their eyes. Hover boards, artificial intelligence, everything they had yet to achieve in their own world. This world was also filled with people- human people. But these people were different, "extraordinary" in the scientists words. They observed these people and made friends. But the scientists soon learned that this world was also filled with horrible monsters and demons as well as the extraordinary people they had come to know.

Then something strange happened- the scientists too, began to develop powers like the people of Rift, each unique to themselves. And suddenly, the scientists were in danger. Not all people of the Rift world trusted them. They did not want the Scientists bringing their ways into their world and they didn't want things to be taken out of it either. The scientists escaped the world of Rift, but monsters followed after them. And these monsters escaped into our world, slaughtering innocent civilians... and the scientists.

The monsters were unstoppable to Earthly humans and their weaponry. But they had one weakness- the Earth itself. The creatures of Rift could not survive long in our world- and they soon died out. After this incident, the US Government decided that they would not risk this happening again. And so all evidence of the newly found world were destroyed.

People went on living their lives. Stories of the horrible monsters were told- and rumors spread about the world of which they came. But as time passed, people forgot. The Earth's crust moved and sealed the portal. And Rift was lost...

Now every 100 years, the Earth moves just enough to reveal that portal. And the world it holds is free to explore- for anyone daring enough to do so.

Bio: Lashun was forced to be inclined to the academy by her father. Her motto is "If they're not bothering me, why bother them?" She feels that she should have fun and live her life in the Rift, despite what others think and wants to become a rouge. Despite her deep hate for her forced occupation, she's sweet and fun to be around...but when it comes to love, she still hasn't found the one that doesn't see her as 'just a friend'.

Bio: Katrina dreamed of pirates and ships when she was little, but of course, there is no room in this world for old school pirates any more. So, learning about the legends of the Rift, despite their advanced technology, she thought it might be the best place to start a new. She found the rift and is now captain of a Sky Pirate ship called 'Lupus Dragon'. She sometimes helps out those from her world in that first enter the Rift, and often helps out people from the Rift as well in monster killing, but for a price.
