I wrote this a while ago so it's kind aout of date and maybe needs some touch ups but I think it's about right. I live by these.

Someone typed that it's hard when you hate it...
But, hate is a bit of a strong word for an item...
Saying "I hate ____!" doesn't just mean "I can't stand ____!" Hate is deeper than that & comes from jealousy, and betrayal, & etc.
And, yuh'd think that even if someone hasn't had such experiences themselves, that if they're into anime, which is filled with characters which are familiar with it, they'd know better...
& Though, I agree with that person, that it is difficult to keep quiet about something we can't stand, I don't agree with a person intintionally going into a forum or thread that is concerning that something, and bad mouthing it... When you do that, you're going into the territory of that which you supposedly can't stand, and that's literally crossing the line... The line, which a person'll make between themselves and the elements they don't want in their life...
"8. Thou shall be friends and make friends with other anime lovers"
This one I dislike... When I first entered these forums there were threads where people were intentionally speaking poorly of, and proudly displaying the barriers they've placed (or SUPPOSEDLY allowed others to place) between themselves and those who don't care for anime...
Whether you mean it to, or not, your 8th commandment encourages these people... The very opposite of what they need... They need to get over such an extremely minor difference, and go talk to people who have other interests... It isn't healthy to intentionally stick with people who have one particular similarity to one's self, and it is one highly ignorant thing to do... Prejudism, is still prejudism. There's no difference between anime fans, who stick with anime fans, and kids of a minority race in school, who stick with the other students of that race... In one of the high schools I went to, a lot of the non-white/non-Mexican students, who moved here from elsewhere, were doing this... Because wherever they came from had a more serious racism problem, they went and became our racists when they came here, where we have (or should I say HAD?) less racism...
I would never intentionally befriend other anime fans, if it ends up happening, it ends up happening, but I'd never make it a priority... And, yes, I realize that the white & Mexican kids from elsewhere were just as guilty of bringing racism into our schools here... Especially the Mexicans, who have a tendancy to stereotype all the white people as rich, and intentionally unfair to them... Some of us, have less money than they do, and they're the ones who are so fixed on the racial difference, and always claiming that life's unfairness is over their race, rather than just being how it treats all of us... They also have a tendancy to make fun of the Mexican-Americans, which I dislike even more than they're racism towards me... I said the additional comments on the racism, which many of you will consider pointless, because I know some moron's bound to flame me, if I don't let it show that I'm not just being racist myself... So, to those bored/annoyed by it, I apologize...
"10. Thou shall read manga"
Aaah... And this one, I know I'm not alone with my opinion that manga is a waste...
& No, that's not due to being ignorant, and just going against what I've not even tried, which isn't necessarily ignorance, those who go against drugs without trying it, are doing the opposite of being ignorant... I say it is a waste, because... Why pretend to be reading, when you can just go look at the much more entertaining version? The only explanation I can devise for those who prefer manga, is that they enjoy being able to claim they're reading... A false feeling of intelligence...
& Considering literally everyone I've known who's into manga, no exageration, does have a rather high and false sense of intelligence, which they, unfortunately for the rest of us, pride in, no one'll be changing my view anytime soon... If they wanna read, they can go get a REAL book. Trust me on this one, they're much more enjoyable, and they generally HELP your English and spelling, rather than dumb it down... & Though, such isn't generally said, a good book'll also help you to understand people in general, and therefore yourself... So to me, manga is 100% a waste...
