I dont know what intelligence has to do with being scared but...

I wasnt scared because neither of the things that kill people looked scary. The woman looked kind of dumb and a kid that meows is not gonna make me soil my shorts. If their faces werent revealed until the end, then we would have a good movie on our hands. Ominous shadows are always scarier than the real thing.

And you are right about the basic premise. The whole "when a person dies in the grip of a terrible rage" line is great. That line alone made me want to see the movie. But the killers just werent scary.

It reminded me too much of the ring and the ring was pretty gayyy. Only the japanese version of the ring was okay but the grugde just sucked...

Obviously, none of u (cept for strawberries n cream) are intelligent. If that didn't scare you, your either insane or just stupid. What part about a dead woman's undying revenge doesn't scare you?! Are you all just stupid?! I thought the movie was well put together; perfect timing, perfect scares. Perfect. Just because you americans are so used to bloody, s***ty-movies, you don't find this scary. Some anime-fans: you seem not to know how the Japanese get scared; by subtle, dark & omninous feelings, that grow and manifest.

Wise up. With the lame attitudes most of you have, your gonna die before truly dscovering what fear really is...

I found the grudge full of jumps, not really scary, but i found the japenese version REALLY boring, people usually say japenese versions of films are so much scarier so i thought i should spice up the film and watch the japenese version but that just put me off watching them.

Sure I do, americans love watching slasher film series like: Friday the 13th,Nightmare on Elm Street,Halloween,Child's Play,Candyman,Hellraiser,Children of the corn, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I think the mother and son ghosts would make pretty good movie monsters.

I just watched the Japanese version of the movie, called the Ju-on or something. Well, let's just say I'll call it a so-so. It wasn't that much scary, but pretty shocking. I'm a big fan of horror stories, so I can't say much. The hollywood version The Ring sucked, though... I like the Japanese version better. lol
