Considering when they were made and the budget they had back then, the old ones wins easily.

You didn't understand the movie? Then are you even qualified to determine which one was the best?

It's not a hard story to understand, it's good verse evil. This was Anakin's fall to become known as Darth Vader, and don't say that's a spoiler you should have seen the first 3 by now. They've been around for over 25 years now. You have to watch them as a whole, you can't just skip any of them or you've gotten an incomplete story.

The old original movies were big things in their time. New special effects and all, it was a big achivement. The newest 3 prequels have an interesting story but that's about it. The effects are in common use in every other movie and sci-fi TV series now.

The acting from the 3rd movie wasn't all that great either. There's a big difference between Anakin and Padme spouting non-sense lovey-dovey words, and Leia saying "I Love You." to Han as he's being lowered into the carbon freeze chamber and he responds "I know." That was Mr. Ford in perfect character.
