just finished watching the Soul Society Arc

It was pretty cool, i thought it was kinda weird that they let him constantly get away. The captains were fairly slack on the intruders, especially when one captain was killed and 2 were defeated (not to mention all the subordinates). But i still enjoyed it, especially the fights Ichigo had with Captain 6 (Byakuya) and Captain 11 (Kenpachi).

The whole point of the mission was to bring Rukia back but in the end she decided to stay in the Soul Society....but i can understand why she wanted to

When who got away constantly now?

The Soul Society Arc was about the good part of the series. I'm not saying the fillers are bad, but I think I liked that more than what's being shown as of recent.

Ichigo slipped away a few times. they really werent taking him serious at all. but alot of stuff was goin on too during the whole ordeal

In my opinion, the Captains were a bit too over-confident in themselves and their abilities. It's been years upon years since anyone from the outside penetrated the Court of Pure Souls, or from what information we were given anyway. From what they knew, also, was that the intruders and Ichigo were just small fries that didn't need to be worried over too much and they were just humans to begin with (meaning humans = weak beings).

But, yes, they had their own things to do as well. They're not Captains for nothing after all, heh.

If the Captains didn't have what was going on, I think Ichigo would be in the gutter much sooner than expected. Still, Ichigo has the ability to grow rapidly (I'm not going to say how), so maybe it would've turned out in about the same way....or not.
