What if they made Smash Bros for DS?
I would get it, lol! If they did make a Smash Bros for DS, you could prolly play it online, plus its a portable Smash Bros. Wouldn't that be awesome?

it would be pretty cool,but would there be the same amount of characters in that game as SSBM?would there be a little less?will they add a few new characters?how exactly will it be played with the fewer buttons than the gamecube?etc.

I dunno. But, the N64 version worked. Didn't it have less buttons than the cube?

I think the 64 and the Cube's controls were the same, save for the C-stick... It could work on the DS ^_^

No doubt it would be quite killer. Too bad one won't come out for a while. Probably not until the end of the 1st gen DS lifecycle, if not for the 2nd gen DS that they will release about 2 years from now. Because we all know how long it took them to perfect Mario Kart DS and this game hasn't even started development yet.
