Official Mahou Sensei Negima Thread

[Dark Wing]

Seeing how I always find Threads that start of with "Great Show!" and "How many people have seen this?" It's starting to tick me off justy a bit so I decided to make something alittle more Offcial. (In other words putting some effort into the topic)

Mahou Sensei Negima is one of my many favorites I like to think of it as Love Hina meets DBZ the manga more so. As for my favorite character I'd have to say Evangeline hands down no one can hold a candle to her. My favorite paring Konoka and Setsuna.

The story focuses around the adventures of Negi Springfiled is a prodigy 10 year old mage. After his graduation in magic school, he is sent to Japan to be an English teacher, as a test. He ends up as 2-A's teacher, which proves to be quite a challenge, especially with his complicated relationship with Asuna (since she does discover Negi's secret, after all). Over time, they form a good friendship with each other as they work together in Negi's adventures.

When he was only 4 years old, his village was invaded by countless demons and witnessed people being turned into stone. But Nagi, the Thousand Master, repelled the demons and saved Nekane, Negi's sister from this fate. Negi recognizes him as his father, who Nekane always mentioned, and the staff that Negi carries is proof of his meeting with the Thousand Master. Negi strives to become a Magister Magi in hopes of finding his father once again.

Now I'll take this time to list all the members of Negi's group of magic fighting girls.

1. Asuna Kagurazaka: Magic Nulifaction
2. Nodoka Miyazaki: Mind Reader
3. Konoka Konoe: Healer
4. Yue Ayase: Master of Magical Information
5. Haruna Saotome: Summoner
6. Setsuna Sakurazaki: Half Demon
7. Chisame Hasegawa: Master of Digital Magic

None members of Negi's Group but still friends
1. Fei Ku: Chinese Martial Artists
2. Kaede Nagase: Ninja

Bad Guys later on
Evangeline A.K. McDowell: Vampiress
Chachamaru Karakuri: Robot
Lingshen Chao: Time Traviler
Mana Tatsumiya: Sinper
Satomi Hakase: Computer Expert

I only watched the anime itself, havent even thought about reading the manga....but it was a very enjoyable show, a little strange that some of the girls were falling in love with the negi. it's worth watching, if you're into school life magic romance comedies.

I've watched the first anime version and I'm in the middle of Negima!? the remake which focuses more on the magical battles and less on fan service which I pefer tough the first version was good to. Blah I'm getting genral and noobish now so rather I'm going to try to hook people on the new series its is still techinacally Mahou sensei negima and a nice alternative for people who don't like fan service:
Negima arrives at Mahora academy as the sesnei of 2-A and goes through the motions with Evangline afterward this series skips ahead to 3-A(a year's differnce) effectivtly skipping the first anime interpration. Strange events begin taking place in Mahora as, unfortantly for Negi, two inspectors from his magic school come to make sure he hasn't been discovered or else he gets turned into an animal. A magical item, which even Nagi couldn't control. called the star crystal is then discovered to have been stolen from England things from that point on only contiune getting worse as Chamo gets richer. The cards work diffrent here as they turn into one of three: rare/armor cosplay and suka or miss
rare/armor: this allows a great amount of power to be relased and slows the rate of saturation expenditure (how hungry someone is)
Cosplay: A faster rate of saturation drainage and less power yet still with its own unigue powers resembling the full power
Suka: the user turns into a chibi animal repersenting their personlatly rate of saturation drain is very high

Asuna: demon banisher with broadsword(armor) or the fan thingie(cosplay) turns into something resembling a badger

Nodoka: Multiple enclyopides able to look up multiple meshes of info(armor)single book allowing her to read minds(cosplay)

Setsuna: Sword with angel wings and pretty much unreal power(armor) her cosplay has yet to be seen

Konoka: Ever-expanding fortune telling sticks(armor)
want to know more watch it(if this is too off topic for ya DW I'll delete that) my favorite character is Setsuna because of the lesbian undertones "an indirect kiss with...ojou-sama"

I've been borrowing the manga from my friend and I'll say it's pretty good. Books 11 and 12 have been the best thus far. They've been much more eventful and action packed than the previous volumes. I do hope Akamatsu-sama continues to include more fighting in future volumes. It will be interesting to see how this manga will conclude.
