If thats how you feel, I suggest you go watch Ideon: Be Invoked, Hideaki Anno's biggest influence, which I personally thought was done immensely better than End of Evangelion (Although you may need to watch the TV series, or the "A Contact" compilation movie first) . As End of Evangelion takes many of its influences, ideas and imagery from that particular movie. In fact, many of the concepts of the Eva series itself was derived from the Ideon TV series.

Some interesting screencaps comparing scenes from EoE and Be Invoked

Anyways, I believe I've strayed off topic.

My favorite movies:
1. Space Runaway Ideon: Be Invoked
2. Mazinkaiser: Ankoku Daishogun
3. Legend of Galactic Heroes 1st Movie (I believe its the one Duuz mentioned, but I'm not entirely sure)

Special Mentions:
Princess Mononoke
Macross: Do You Remember Love?
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
Patlabor (1,2 and WXIII)
