o.O That seems a little... well, late for my situation, I suppose.
And classy is one way of putting it... But has a girl ever turned you down because you made her sign one of those? xD

I haven't really tried that approach--it's just a joke for those who know me well. I suppose someday I'll try it and see where it takes me. On a serious note, I'm not familiar (at this time) with tort law.

Yeah. he'll just have to get over it. Might be friends might, might become distant. But its better to be straight forward.
Athos, I'll guinea pig that agreement for you, its hella intriguing.

haha, really? If you want to go for it, just PM me what state you're in. That way, I could be able to draft the contract accordingly.

It would be very interesting. I might ask you to tweak a few things and get me a copy for me and the bf. Then I could legally buy dinners without him insisting he can. XD

Pshaw! We can just go the (insert radical religion here) route and say that animals don't have souls and are minions of Satan.

Objection! That has no bearing in this matter. For you see, if you were to perform the said act, it (without little doubt) would step into the police power doctrine from inflicting bodily harm. Ergo, you would violate that and perhaps a host of other local laws. So with that being said, no "radical" religion would help you here. And even if it did, there is a decent shelf of cases in the law library to support that religion does not give a person or persons
carte blanche to do whatever it is they please. For example, if a religion used intercourse with minors, it would (again) be a violation of the states' interest to protect children (police power). To use a less radical example, smoking a uncontrolled substance per religious ritual would be a violation of the law (although, most likely wouldn't be a police power since it'd be a federal law violation).
