Bryan tosses the man off to the side and wipes his blade clean before sliding it back into its sheath. The infra-red he was using makes the eyes on his skeleton glow red as he watches her go down the hall. The minamal heat the arrows give from the firing is registered and he casually calculates the timing.

As Alexandria reaches the other end Bryan notices the arrows stop firing. With a chuckle he studies the floor of the passage figureing on pressure triggered floors. Running forward he leaps back onto the wall.... Running along the wall 5 steps he then pushes off over to the other wall where he keeps going down the hall.....

Alexandria panics as she looks back to see him coming, who was this guy and what was he...

He was after the artifact!

There was a pause in her as she pushed off the floor and ran to the first statue and studied it quickly. She found the small indentation and pushed it, there was a loud sounding click, she ran to the other statue and pushed the same switch.

The door opened, and with a relieved smile she made a dash into the chamber, where sitting on a pedistal she saw a long Sceptor standing in a alter.

She halted...

Wait a minute...that's odd...

Alexandria stood silently looking at the Sceptor. It was really, paculiar...

Hitting the end of the trapped hallway Bryan turns and looks back only to see the Mercenaries start coming into the room. Breaking towards the chamber he makes a leap towards the now open door as he fling his arms out wide.

Two metallic object leave his hands hitting the ground before each statue... They bounce once, twice and then they explode sending the statues down and slamming the large door shut behind him. Slowly he stands and speaks his voice mechanical through the mask, "There....that outta keep them out for the moment...."

His mask then opens and he takes off the helmet revealing his short cropped white hair. Turning his head he looks at Alexandria his ice blue eyes peircing and the scar running over his left eye makes him look meaner then he is, "I'm Bryan.... We need to hurry...."

Alexandria ignored him, she was too occupied looking at the Sceptor.

"It's all wrong, this can't be right..." she put a hand on her chin as she rubbed it. "The curves, the shine, the jewels..."

Her eyes scanned the alter, it remained steady without any indicating traps as she stepped forward and examined the Sceptor closer and shook her head.

"It simply makes no sense at all," she turned around her head shrinking. "W-who are you!? Are you one of those mercenaries!? Look you can have the stupid thing, just...just don't kill me! I don't know anything, I don't know I mean..."

Three reasons for her babbling. She was shy, she wasn't good around men, and she had a feeling this guy could snap her like a twig. She blushed slightly as she waved to the Sceptor.

"You can have it, please just don't kill me!"

He shakes his head, "Look lady... If I was going to kill you you would have never made it to this room. The truth is we have the same employer and those mercs need to be dealt with before we can head out of the temple."

Bryan looks down at the satelitte status and figures that the roof is thin enough for the delivery system to drop his Heavy weapons system... He then glances at the Sceptor, "Go ahead and grab it... Get your people out of here as well..."

Alexandria thinks for a moment before shaking her head.

"Sarah, Jim and Kyle most likely got caught by now I have to go back and help them even if," she glanced at the Sceptor. "It this thing is a fake."

Alexandria grabbed it quickly and jumped away from the alter as a few rocks started to fall down. She let out a breath before looking at the Sceptor.

"Take a look at this," she held out the Sceptor to him. "This is what their after but...its not what it should be."

She shook her head, not having time to explain, she had to go back and help the others. A thought had crossed her mind to ask him to help her, but it seemed like he was in a rush to get out of here. Besides, the only people who knew they were even coming out here was the company.

Logically thinking, they were the only ones to be able to send mercenaries in the first place...but why would they even care? They paid them to get this...what would they accomplish by killing them?

"You can go, but I can't just leave them behind," Alexandria bit the inside of her cheek. "Thanks for not, killing me."

Bryan glances at the scepter, but then flips open his wrist mounted keyboard and punches in a series of keys. Closing it he turns to regard her again, "I'm sorry I'm not good with that sort of stuff... You can probably guess why I was developed and rehired later..."

A beeping comes from his wrist and he picks up Alexandria and carries her off by the wall just as the roof explodes downwards, "You might want to stand out of the way... Plus you aren't getting though those Mercs without my help and my stealth unit won't cut it...."

He turns and looks as the dust clears revealing a huge set of black and silver armor....

Alexandria is a little speechless as she looks at the odd armor, she had no idea what was going on, who was this guy and why was he here in the first place and...and did he touch her?

She blushed, before shaking her head. "This Sceptor isn't Tibetan, meaning that it wasn't made here! This gold, the jewels and the design is late pre-incan dating back at least to the fall of Humabasa in Bolivia, that was nearly four thousand years ago!" she took a breath before dusting herself off.

"What are you doing here? If you're with the company than why weren't you with us in the first place!?" she didn't understand and she wanted answers...and besides she wasn't a total helpless person...ok she was but she could save her friends...maybe...that wasn't the point! "So does that mean...you'll help me?" she blushed again, it was a horrible habit she had when talking to guys.

Bryan chuckles, "I have been with you since the beginning... You just haven't seen me. My orders were to let you find the scepter and I was supposed to swipe it before you got back. Companywise I'm just in it for the time being until I can get my revenge..."

Stepping forward the bulked up armor opens up allowing him to step in. Climbing in the armor recloses making him even taller then before. Placing both masks together they interlock, but he doesn't put it on yet, "Yes I will help you... But what's so special about the scepter anyways?"

Alexandria looked the armor over before gazing at the Sceptor. "Nothing. It isn't significant at all, not here at least. For all I could remember about Humabasa, they had become a wicked race and started to drown in their own greed. In order to stifle them into nothingness the shaman known as Huwataku created an ethereal staff that had the power to suck out the souls of whomever the wielder ordered it too."

She gave him a curious look. "According to the rest of the lore, Huwataku broke the staff into three peaces after he had sucked away all of his people souls and had them taken to the corners of the earth. Most people say there are four but if we are taking terms that the Incans believed it would be the three largest mountains of the time. Here, in the Himilayas, Mount Fuji in Japan and..." she paused before snapping her fingers. "And Abasani in South Africa, of course that is also simply speculation because there is no solid proof that the Incans could travel the reachs of the world."

Finally taking a breath she examined the staff before slipping it into her pack. Looking to Bryan she bit her bottom lip. "You've been watching...since the beginning huh?...Oh nevermind that we should get going, by the way...could you keep 'the blowing up ancient buildings' to a minimum, this place will collapse due to its structural instability but also...its a piece of the past."

Turning around, she looked at the blocked way, she slightly looked back at him. "What should we do?"

Heavy Weapons System

Bryan puts on the helmet and as the armor fully boots up he studies the door, "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to take out the door...After that I'll do as little damage to the temple as I can..."

Stepping forward he analyzes the stone door before finding a weak spot in it. Slaming his fist forward Bryan sends cracks through out the door before he fires of his boot thrusters and goes shoulder first through the door, "Stay behind me if you like..."

Alexandria goes wide eyes as she coughs from the cloud of dust the kicks up, she nodded slightly and goes behind him, for heaven sake this man was a walking disaster...

But she couldn't help wonder...what kind of revenge he meant. She hoped he wouldn't mistakingly hurt her friends either, he didn't seem like the type to care either way. In any case she didn't have any choice but to hope for the best, she needed to get to her friends especially to tell them that their trip wasn't over...

They needed to get to the other two locations before the company does, hopefully she'll get the slip on this guy...unless he was willing to help, but that was crazy...she had to think...there had to be a way.

Releasing his gatling gun the barrels begin to spin freely as he steps forward. Underneath he hears an audible crunch as the bulk of his armor destroys the pressure plates rendering the trap usless. Clomping down the hallway his systems start tracking mercs as the gatling gun on his shoulder starts spitting 50 caliber rounds.

The large room at the end fast becomes a graveyard as he takes care of the gathered mercs beyond the he finally comes onto the leader. To his frusteration he sees three others handcuffed and on their knees with a small group of mercs covering them. Bryan quickly goes through his locks, but decides that it's to risky and shuts downs the gat before letting the armor open up. Dropping to the ground Bryan looks at the leader, "Long time no see Kain..."

Kain laughs, "Well now if it isn't the company's pet freak! Now if you please lose the stealth unit or my men might get antsy... Of course you know how touchy I like my triggers...."

Alexandria rushed behind him quickly as she watched the exchange between the two men who obviously knew eachother.

She took a sharp breath seeing her friends. "Wait!" she cried while stepping forward and putting her hands up. "Please don't hurt them, I'll do anything just don't hurt them!"

Alexandria bit her bottom lip as she walked passed Bryan and stopping in the middle of their cease fire. "Please, I'll do anything just...just don't hurt them."

Behind her Bryan had gotten out of the stealth unit... His muscles twitch as they exposed to the cold, but he remains in his pants and combat boots. His bare upperbody is adorned by various scars and even a wicked one running down the left side of his face and over the eye. Punching a pair of buttons both suits close up and the heavy weapons armor grabs ahold of the stealth unit before its thrusters engage and take it away...

Bryan himself remains quiet just staring and Kain..

Kain looks at Alexandria and laughs, "Anything huh? How about that scepter and the freak comes with us? Then you and your friends can go...."

Kisa looks into the sunlight before she entered the tomb next to her. 'This should be easy.' she smiled and uncliped her guns from the holsters.

She walked into the front of the entrance. And light up her flare and walked in futher. 'Wow I love this one'
