I was wondering...and confused

So you mean they are born to be souls or their born to be shinigamis..?

I thought that shinigamis are ordinary souls of human beings who entered soul society's academy or school so that they will become a true Death God...IDK.. I'm not even sure what the hell I said.. ^.^

no, they weren't born that way (though some are hinted to be born from 2 shinigami aka byakuya yoruichi....and many others) but once you die your not a human.

human implies the being is alive with a human body

maybe if he opened his eyes once and awhile and erased his psychotic grin then maybe. plus his Zanpakutou is kinda boring all it does is get longer.
You have a point there. He is rather evil. He taunts, he's got a psychotic grin like you said, and his eyes...they are intriguing yes, but in a villainous "I'm gonna get you" sort of way. He would not hesitate to hurt someone.

I do not believe that they all feel love or need it.....

Look at Aizen, he doesn't have love for anything and he manipulates others feelings, he doesn't have or need love.

Maybe Aizen did have a lover but she left him and that's what made him evil. But that would be too stereotypical and not very deep.

Aoi has a point. I don't think Aizen ever had a lover. Some people are evil just because, they don't always need a reason. In anime, there are many villains who are evil and never had anything bad happen to them. Many of them are overly ambitious, and love only themselves.

No, he probably never did have a lover.

Gin does open his eyes once in the series. His eyes are blood red. He is a weirdo homosexual freak, and he is or isn't gay because he left a possible sex partner to be with Aizen and Tosen... to be honest, he's either gay or a really big idiot. :?

I have wondered the same thing about him. In fact that was my first impression of him, was that he was some sort of homosexual weirdo. He gave off that same vibe that Muraki of Descendants of Darkness gave out, Muraki is a sadistic homosexual.

I MAKE THEM UP AS I GO ALONG!

Let's not forget that homosexuality is accepted in Japan (as far as I know) so having a gay character wouldn't be weird. But I do agree, leaving that big busted sex muffin for . . .Aizen is very odd indeed.

While I may accept homosexuality, and yes there are gay characters in anime, homosexuality still isn't exactly accepted in Japan. People still get uncomfortable about homosexuality in Japan. Japan is a 'don't ask don't tell' country. If one is gay, its for them to know, and the rest to find out. If a person doesn't accept someone who is gay, thats their problem. Anime is a form of entertainment that has to reach a wide audience, so homosexual characters show up to relate to the people who are homosexual. In real life, homosexuals are quite discriminated against, but in art, they have to reach a wide audience, so they don't discriminate.
Gay and lesbian characters show up in anime, but alot of times, people don't realize that they are homosexual. (Except for the people the characters relate to.) Its sad, but thats the way that things are. Japan isn't the only country though.

Not really, there is no definite line between gay and straight. Japanese guys take metrosexual to a new level. Alot of times you can't tell the difference between a straight guy and a gay guy over here. People could mostly care less what your sexual preference is, they don't care because it's none of their business and thats that.

I've been quite a few places and I'd say that Japan is the most tolerant of any place I've been. (though I'm bias considering it's my home)
