Ever seen the little girl in Grave of the fireflies? That broke my heart when she died ;_; what a sad ending..

When Wolfwood died in the Trigun episode "Paradise" I seriously cried! And I'm not really much of a Trigun fan!

I've heard many touching things about Grave of the Fireflies, i'm planning on buying it and lending it to my anime-hating friends.

Wolfwood's death was very unexpected for me. He's my fave character in Trigun, so to see him go was a shocker. Damn!
I still maintain that Rosette and Chrono's simultaneous deaths were very depressing. Not a good idea to watch the end before a major exam... oy... but their last moment together was so fitting.
Gah... it's depressing, now...

The saddest anime death I've ever seen was when Maes Hughs from Fullmetal Alchemist was killed.

That one left me sad too.
And yes, Ed dies in the anime. Twice. Once when he was in the alter!world (i.e. our world) and once when he got back and Envy revealed his "true face" which shocked him so much that gave Envy the chance to skewer him. He's revived by Al, though.
