im all for expressing personality, but come on, guys. this place is to discuss anime, and get to know a person or so while doing that. we dont need all this unnessecary crap on the forum. it would just make it more confusing, slower, and a lot more complicated of a forum than it should be.

In this forum's description, it tells us to make suggestions. As far as I know, this is a suggestion, therefore I think it's perfectly justifiable to suggest such a feature here.

Sure, we're here to discuss anime. But why not make the process more enjoyable by being able to personalize one's account a little further? I'm all for a custom title: plenty of other sites use them, and I can't imagine it'd be that hard to add. We don't need avatars or sigs to discuss anime, do we? I don't see how this is any different to be honest.

I don't really like this suggestion, even though I could take advantage of it myself.

Its just a pointless add-on everybody will forget about, for example the "report post" button.

Far, far more important that "custom user titles", yet no one uses it.

It's not pointless. Further customization of one's account allows for more creativity and expression is not pointless. Because of this, people will not forget about the feature like you say they will.

Custom user titles aren't pointless. Why are you so against enhancing the site's creativity? If there are truly more important features that this site should have then why haven't you been making threads to make suggestions?

And I still don't understand what you mean by the users titles being "forgotten."

Custom user titles would not add creativity to the site. I feel all that would happen is users would abuse this.

You seem so offended by this suggestion: why? "Because it's not needed/there are other things to be added to the site which are more important/etc." - so? Just because it's being suggested doesn't mean it's going to be implemented right away. I'm sure if there's something more beneficial to be added, it will be added first. "Because it isn't needed" isn't a credible argument, at least not to me. I'll reiterate what I said about avatars and sigs: they're not "needed" but people still like and use them, and it helps to boost up the user satisfaction. As Battousi the Manslayer has asked repeatedly: would you care to point out some "more important features" to be added before a custom title? Since, thus far, you've avoided doing so, I can only assume none come to you off the top of your head.

It's not about how much he's already given us: it's about how he can improve upon the website. That's partially what this section is for: to suggest new ideas and whatnot. Also, could you provide examples of how this would be abused?
