Why? You just have to establish where the creases are, and the shading and highlighting will come easy.

Awesome. A topic for the subjects that I find the most annoying.
Hi,
I actually take both "Art" and "Art Design" right now, and I'm struggling a bit to find appropriate images for my Art Design assignment, which is World Peace. If anyone can help me with symbols, it would be greatly appreciated. I know the obvious ones are the peace sign, dove, cross etc. . .If anyone has some ideas, feel free to run them by me.
Also, we have to use Adobe Illustrator in class, and I'm not really sure how to use it. If anyone knows a quick way I can learn the basics, then it would be fantastic =).
Toodles for now. <3

I'm not a big guy on symbolism, despite it being my job to think outside of the box. May have to consult some other users on that, although I'll try to think of some.
As for illustrator, I can help answer any specific questions, but in overall learning the program, I would advise looking up some basic tutorials to get you going. There are some simple exercises that can help you get used to all of the tools. Since it's illustrator, I'd imagine you'll be working with the pen tool alot. As soon as you know how to manipulate the pen tool, everything else will come a lot easier.

Hmmm I got some exercises I used in my graphics class that I may be able to find and post here, they helped me a bit and for peace signs, what about glasses with the two fingers up (middle and pointy finger) and also an angel
