lol i've never gotten the red ring of death on my 360. the only problem with my old one was that i left the discs in the system and it wouldn't play games anymore unless it wanted to. With the new one that I got after sending the old one in, i got a fan and it works perfect.

oh and just for anyone that has a PS3 DO NOT get an fan for it. it burns out the system, i was told this by a friend, he told me that he had one on his old one and had to send it in and they told him the fan completely burnt the system out because it makes dust get in the system.
But if you get a fan for the 360 it works great the only thing is you need to clean the back and the fan once in awhile.

As for the Red Ring, everyone I know that has owned an Xbox of any kind has gotten it; and I know quite a few people who have owned Xbox's

My old 360 RROD, so I just got ti fixed and sold it. But I wasn't into alot of the games 360 had, so I stuck to PS2 and got a PS3 last year. My PS3 got the yellow light monday, and i got it replaced for free by the store.

Now, while 360 has alot of problems with the RROD, its about only25-30% failure rate, so its not like everyone who gets one is gonna have theirs bug.

What it came down to me was, with the 360 you have to pay for online. PS#, you get it free. It also has the hdmi port already installed, where as youve gotta buy it for the 360 unless you get the elite. Same thing with Wifi.

You all need to take into account that ps3 and 360 were concepted (is that the right word??) around the same time and 360 came out almost exactly 1 year before ps3. PS3 had alot of extra time to learn from 360 mistakes.

I would use "conceived" instead. Also, I wouldn't say PS3 learned from 360's mistakes so much as I would that Microsoft simply rushed it's release. Sony merely did what they were supposed to; make sure the system works before releasing it!

It happens. Theres no electronic item out there where all of them have worked. But at least Sony stays in the 1% chance of failure rate right with Nintendo. Microsoft has had years to fix the RROD and still you hear stories about people getting it and then having the replacement RROD as well.

I got it, though I did hit the top of the PS3 a little hard by accident. The Story i bought it from replaced it. It does happen just not alot.

No arguements here, PS2 is always going to be the greatest console of all time.
