Damashii held his blade in a reversed way,pushing one foot forward and bending the knee of that leg while he kept his other leg beside him."Now die!"The speed he dashed in was unseeable to those who were not skilled enough only thing that was actually noticable was foot prints that appeared all around where Kenshin stood showing Damashii was not attacking from one exact direction.The footsteps seem to stop as Damashii appeared above Kenshin slashing his sword from the left at Kenshin's head.

Kenshin disappeared, as the blade came down. Remembering the entire reason for which the Hiten Misturugi style was based around, predicting his opponents attack.

He stood watching him in the same stance from several feet away.

Soon as his feet touched the ground,he disappeared again,appearing behind Kenshin swing both his sword and sheath,which was made of a hard and sharp metal which would feel exactly the same as getting slashed by a sword.

Kenshin swiveled around in time to block the first attack by pulling out his reverse blade and the second by using his shieth, holding against his arm so that the impact of the odd made shieth would be less of a blow.

He smiled,moving his mouth abit as he fired a small needle out from his mouth,the needle itself,the tip of it was coated with a powerful poison that doesn't kill,but only numbs the body of the victim

Kenshin was rather surprised by it, but instead of dodging it by moving his head slightly to the side was deterred...the needle hit as he pushed the blades forcing Damashii to step back as he fell to a knee.

Damashii,stumbling back,does a flip to put himself back on guard."This is very exciting."Damashii readied himself in a defense position as he began to think of what attack to use next"Hmm...

Kenshin could feel the poison coursing already, his feet were getting numb. He simply stared over at Damashii, still on bended knee. Shiething his sword he put himself as best he could in his stance.

He could hear,footsteps coming and Damashii sighed,walking towards Kenshin with his sword unsheathed"Now die!"He yelled,charging at him

"Stop!!!" Kaoru screamed.

Kenshin's eyes widened, his hand removing from the top of his hilt.

Kaoru ran as fast as she could down the slope. "Stop please I'm begging you please don't kill him!"

"Ms. Kaoru stay back!" Kenshin commanded heavily, the poison setting in. Whether he dies later or at the hands of Damashii now it would not matter, this was his fate...he was hated by so many. Kaoru needed to understand that.

Damashii stopped infront of him,"Answer me this Kaoru.."He said pointing his sword at her"Why do you care so much for this monster?"

"Kenshin isn't a monster!" she cried while stopping a few feet away. "Why would a monster bother to save a girl like me, why would a monster burden himself with the protection of a young boy like Yahiko!? Why would a monster carry the reverse blade that protects life rather than takes it!? Kenshin isn't the monster, you are!" she clutched her fist. "What would your sisters think of your black heart that only seeks vengeance!? Kenshin has stopped being the Battousai ten years ago, he doesn't kill any more as is trying to repent for the lives he took...even though..." she paused looking at Kenshin.

"Even though I know that no matter how many lives I save does not repent for the sins I have committed." He finished for her. "Ms. Kaoru you should not have intefered."

"Kenshin please..." she walked up to him. "Damashii how dare you, how dare you!"

Damashii said nothing,all he did was sheath his sword,bow his head,and walk away.He placed a bottle down on the ground"This will cure the poison take it before you die.."He said sadly as a tear fell from his face from the thought of his sisters and brothers.

Kaoru picked up the bottle and went to Kenshin, kneeling down she administered the antidote before biting her lip.

"Damashii wait!" she called out to him, even though he was a good distance away.

He stopped,not turning around to let her see he was crying"What is it?"

"I'm sorry..." she stated while ringing her fingers. "I...I didn't have a right to talk about your family that way...I know how hard it is to lose everyone dear to you..." Kaoru took a step forward. "If...if you still need a place to stay I would like to you stay at my dojo."

Kenshin was sitting on the ground with his sword between his legs resting on his shoulder, he smiled.
