From what I hear (and even played, in some instances), the N64 had some great games. However, I've been a PS fan since the first. There are a few things that I didn't like about N64

honestly a PC is the worst thing for games. PC's can freeze and crash games. Plus Xbox's controllers and the system itself can be modified. That's what sucks about it, because of all the cheaters and modders. Thats one of the reasons why I'm gonna be getting a PlayStation 3.
Also nobody needs a screen that big and the console doesn't need to look "cooler"... its the games and the quality that matter. The graphics on the Xbox and Playstation 3 are amazing. And with the PC you have to install the game onto your hard drive which takes up a lot of space, with the Xbox you don't have to install the games, which gives you more room for more games and other things. The Playstation you do have to install the game but you can delete it once you beat the game.

I don't get what you mean by crash, because my computer never crashes during games. Although my friends are always getting the RROD.
Space is a non issue with having to install games with large hard disks. PCs perform much better in games because loading data from the hard drive is many times faster than constantly accessing the disk. This results in levels taking 10-20 seconds to load at the most contrary to the console which make take a couple minutes. Also most PC games don't even require the disk to be in the machine to play.
Also online play is always free. There is also no lag ever because of dedicated servers.
There are good quality games for PC. exclusives?: Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Starcraft 2 to name a few

my computer obviously sucks because I have trouble playing The Sims 2 and 3 on it ... lol then again I don't have an all out gaming PC. But I still love consoles for playing video games better than a PC the only games I like for PC are The Sims and World of Warcraft.

i never said it had more games than 360....i was saying it has more games now than it did when this thread was made. and when this thread was made ps3 didn't have alot of games and quite a few of said games were mediocre at best. Now ps3 has alot of great games including quite a few ps3 only games. oh... my bad... lol .. My boyfriend likes God of War, he played the first two on PS3 but he doesn't have the money to get the 3rd, and MAG looked good but then my boyfriend and I didn't think it would be that good... we love call of duty modern warfare 2. I can't wait to get the new one coming out.. Call of Duty Black Ops but it's not out till November I think.

In terms of gaming platforms, they are mirrors. Halo and Gears are reflected by Killzone and Resistance, Forza by Gran Turismo, and everything else is multiplatform. Really, you have to look at what back-ups and extras they have. For instance, if your a movie buff, PS3 is superior to Xbox, but, Xbox will be getting Natal, so it broadens further to casual gamers.
Xbox also suffers from a huge reliabiliy issues, not so much with the PS3, but I prefer the ergonomics of the 360. Given the choice, I'd sooner have a PC. It plays virtually everything, and it also broadens the gaming spectrum by allowing people to write their own mods and patches. While it does suffer a lack of exclusive titles due to the availibility of consoles, it is more than enhanced by the friendliest community. The biggest put-off is the cost to keep it top of the range to play new releases.
