I've been looking for a faster way to make backup copies of DVDs for a while because I live in a dorm with 4 other people, so CD's tend to get either used as frisbees or stepped on... Anyhow, after the last time that happened, destroying the film I'd been trying to get from my school computer to my home computer, I went and looked for something that can make copies easily. (of course, in that particular case I could have just made another copy back at the lab, and eventually did, but it got me to thinking of my anime collection). So I found a few programs... The super-complicated PSP video 9 (which lets you put the media onto a PSP, something a little less breakable), and xcopy9, which seems to be designed more for what i'm looking for.
...Of course, shortly after the first time I tried it, the rowdiest roomate came in and threw his wet coat onto my DVD rack. I'm beginning to think this is some kind of conspiracy against me.
...made me feel like venting.
