Harry Potter moives vs The Lord of the Rings movies

Me and a couple of my friends were arguing about this, so I thought I'd get other's opinions.
I'm all for LOTR, I like the HP movies but I don't think they're anywhere as good as LOTR

Umm.. I would have to go for HP. I'm over LOTR. It was like filmed here as well. Over Rated!!!

LOTR all the way! Plus does HP have Golem? Nope didn't think so! Or how about Dragon riding Wraiths, an army of bloodthirsty Orcs or a huge floating eye?

No contest, the Harry Potter movies were terrible IMO (I apologise to any HP fans here). While I don't really like LOTR that much anymore (They cut too much out, I was so disappointed when ROTK ended, What happened to the When Hobbits Attack segment of the book?) They were still enjoyable to watch, not so with the Harry Potter movies, which I struggled to stay awake.

No contest LOTR!!!!!! Does HP have an orcs head on a spear? NO! Does HP have Violence? (I mean actual violence not some "magic" stuff) NO! Does HP have orcs being decapitated? NO!! No Contest Lotr was the better series always will.

LOTR does have the upper hand of having Orlando Bloom and Dominic Monhagon, but it's too complex for me ](./images/smilies/wall.gif "Brick wall")
