Absolute Anime

Okay, here's the situation (and yes, it will sound very familiar):
Hohenheim has to get his three sons (Envy, Ed, and Al) across a river. He has one boat that can only carry two people at a time. If he takes Al, Envy and Ed will try to kill each other. If he takes Ed first, Envy will scare Al. If he takes Envy first, Ed and Al will run away. Now, find a creative solution.

three people, one humonculus and one boat.
If I wanted to be nice, I would say that Hohenhiem would stay with Envy while sending Ed and Al across then the two of them could go together. But thats BORING!!

Alphonse and Ed could go, but then Envy would get Hohenheim.
Then I would rush up in my car and give Envy a ride across the river!!
Creative enough??

Why do people approach these kind of problems
without trying to think of easy ways to do them?
It's always gotta be something complex and well thought out
I prefer cheating, adding unrelated factors, and simplifying

It's funnier to think of stupid ways out of it. And besides, when you're thinking too hard, you never do the simplest thing.
