Do any of you play one? What do you play and who were your inspirations?


I play guitar. My fav guitarists at the moment are Marty Friedman (ex-megadeth, now solo) and Yngwie Malmsteen(solo)

I also play guitar (BC Rich Warlock), and my inspiration was, of course, Slash (Formally Guns N Roses, now Velvet Revolver).

I don't play too much anymore, I just 'dabble' here and there.

I play flute, piccolo and saxophone. I plan on beginning violin and guitar soon. My inspiration was the classic music my dad used to play when I was little and my mom, because she played flute. And my friend got me into guitar, and a junior high school band got me wanting to play violin.

He's not really one of my favourites but I do like Slash. I think he's great because of the feeling I hear through his soloes(November Rain is my fav solo by him)
If you look at that Malmsteen clip you'll see that Malmsteen doesn't have much 'emotion' 'feelnbg' whatever you want to call it in his song. The feeling and emotion is like, sacrificed to demonstrate his technical abilities, not that that is even the best example lol.

Some of my other influences along with Marty Friedman and Malmsteen are David Gilmour, Pearl Jam and Iron Maiden. All key influences to the way I play now.

Led Zeppelin may just be one of the greatest bands ever but john bonham is not the best drummer. he;s great and everything but i would have to say it;s eather lars ulrich (Metallica) or joey jordson (slipknot) if you have some way of downloading music then download joey's drum solo. it;s amazing

the piano is suprisingly liberating to play. it gets alot of emotion out. however so do the drums, guitar, and most all instruments.^^
