I thought I was the only one who noticed that!

Because some people were taking the "pointless" part a bit too literally. It's an area for chit-chat, not deep conversations, but people make posts that have no meaning other than to inflate the database and their own post count. Topics should not be completely pointless; they should have some kind of purpose.

Ah, that makes sense. Pointless has no meaning, but mindless, although I believe it has the same meaning as pointless, sounds a bit better. Thank you for clearing that up, webmaster.

i noticed it this morning... i didnt question it thinking its a better change. but, i'm in a quandery now, how long before we get some 'plug who comes up with "The official Mindless Thread"
