Absolute Anime

Which one you love and what is the reasons?

I love Anime and the reason is because Anime are more realistic than cartoon, the Anime chacraters [ Anime girls ] also the only one that can charm me with their cuteness. adorableness, beautifulness and many other reason that makes me charmed by them aswell as to Anime. When cosplaying into Anime, I don't feel any shame because no one calling me childish but instead calling me cute, handsome, etc. There are also millions other Anime cosplayers in the world also numerous Anime forums and conventions that mostly created by independent or indivdual person who love Anime where I can talk and sharing knowledge about Anime with many other Anime fans accross the world.


I have 2 questions for those who like Animation :

1. Why did you think there are soo many-many Anime cosplayers rather than cartoon cosplayers?
From each 10.000 Anime cosplayers only 1 or none cartoon cosplayer out there. You can check a cosplayer site such as http://www.cosplay.com or http://www.acparadise.com , you can found atleast 50.000 Anime cosplayers from deferent countrys just from those 2 cosplay site, most of them are outside ASIA. There are also millions more other Anime cosplayers out there who were also from many-many deferent countrys other than what you have seen on the 2 previous cosplay sites.

I'm sure no one in here who can show me at least 499 cartoon cosplayers, because no one interested on cosplaying into childish and not popular show. They probably know they will get themselfs called childish when they are cosplaying into cartoon by their familys or friends, I'm sure Just watching cartoon already making most of you called childish by your familys or friends.

By seeing those millions Anime cosplayers, have proved that Anime are more realistic than cartoon because someone who did what they see on show such as a movie, Animation, Video Games or any television entertainment are those who were motivated by the realistic things of what they seen. They are cosplaying into Anime because they think Anime as are realistic show that makes them motivated to do what they see in Anime.

2. Why did you think there are soo many-many Anime websites, forums, conventions or stores rather than cartoon websites, forums, conventions or stores?
You can use http://www.google.com to check and find it all out, and you will found many-many Anime websites, forums, conventions or stores. Just like the Anime cosplayers most of the Anime websites, forums, conventions or stores are come from outside ASIA. This Anime forum is one of those many-many forums who clinging-on into Anime to stay alive.
I'm sure you can't find cartoon websites, forums, conventions or stores as many as the Anime websites, forums, conventions or stores because cartoon childish popularition makes Animation fans have no or have less interest to make website, forum, covention or even to open a store for it.

I'm very sure you have many Anime DVD, VCD, or accessories rather than any cartoon DVD, VCD or accessories in your collections or you don't even have any cartoon DVD, VCD, or accessories in your collections.


A few things any Anime fans should know :

There are several countrys outside ASIA who try to make Anime but they can't make it themselfs because when they are hiring the ASIANS animators as the animators. As an example, the american try to make a few semi Anime [ not fully Anime ] such as :
- Teen Titans, the animators are Korean
- Power Puff Girls Z the animators are Japanese
- Avatar the animators are Korean
- Duel Master the animators are Japanese
And a few others semi Anime the american animation company made by hiring the ASIANS animators in hope they can make Anime and take credit for their ownselfs. But it seems all those semi Anime end as a failure, because all those semi Anime are not as popular as the Anime who were made by 100% ASIANS staff that were made in ASIA.

There are also many american own cartoon that were made by ASIANS animators :
- Simpsons, half of the total episode made by Korean animators
- Tom and Jerry kids
- Scooby Doo [ the new one ]
- Superman, the new one made by Japanese animators
- Batman, the new one made by Korean animators
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the new one made by Japanese animators
There are still many others american own cartoon that were made by ASIANS animators hired by american animation company.
Most of the american cartoon next sequel were made by hiring ASIANS animators because the first chapter are not popular. Such as Tom and Jerry, it is only popular in the u.s.a but not outside of the u.s.a before Tom and Jerry kids are released.
France and a few other non ASIAN countrys also hiring ASIANS animators to make their semi Anime and also cartoon such as Skyisland, Totally spy, etc.

There are many peoples who said Anime are Cartoon, Anime technically Cartoon or Anime in definitions are Cartoon. What they said are not based on fact because :
- Anime and Cartoon have deferent quality and level because Anime have much more higher quality and level, you can see how Anime more realistic than Cartoon as the proof. So Anime are not = Cartoon because booth Anime and Cartoon does not have the same quality and level.
- Anime using more higher technique to make the Animation to become more alive or realistic, you can see how Anime more realistic than Cartoon as the proof. So Anime are not technically Cartoon because booth Anime and Cartoon does not have the same
technique on how to make an Anime or a Cartoon.
- Anime and Cartoon in definitions are animation forms just like Claymation, CG and FMV who also other forms of animation. So
Anime in definitions are not Cartoon because the definitions of Anime and Cartoon are animation forms.

If you are still not understand it, you can think this simple logic :
There won't be any Anime Websites, Anime Forums, Anime Conventions, Anime Cosplayers, Anime Studios, Anime Stores, or the ASIANS [ Japanese, Chinese, Korean ] won't call their animation as Anime if Anime are Cartoon, if Anime technically Cartoon or if Anime in definitions are Cartoon.
So by saying Anime = Cartoon, Anime technically Cartoon or Anime in definitions are Cartoon not only ignorant but also idiotic, but for someone who only able to clinging-on to the other peoples advancement, they won't care about that facts because they can't make Anime and only able to make Cartoon, they are dreaming and hoping they will get benefits from Anime by saying Anime = Cartoon, Anime technically Cartoon, Anime in definitions are Cartoon or any sad excuse like that.
What they actually did, they are the cause or the one who giving Anime the Cartoon bad [ childish ] reputation that makes many-many Anime fans called childish by their familys or by most of their friends.


Infortant note :
- There is what known as "cartoon curse" that gives bad influence towards Anime, you will have your familys or friends calling you childish when you watch any Animation even if they are Anime because your familys or most of your friends only know about cartoon that are for kids and did not know about Anime that are mostly for teenagers and adults.
- Most american cartoon are mostly [ over 74% ] using animal characters such as tom and jerry, scooby doo, bugs bunny, tiny toons, donald duck, mickey mouse, etc. Even the american 3D cartoon such as shrek, ice age, shark tale, chicken run, etc also using Animal characters. This is one of the reason why cartoon are childish as seeing as a show for childrent.

If you want to help to get ride of the "cartoon curse" who gives bad influence into Anime, you can spread this topic everywhere and to anyone including to your friends or to anyone who love Anime.

Technically, anime is cartoons. People in the U.S. just happen to have the narrow-minded view that cartoons are only for kids. Anime is different than the lame cartoons we get in the U.S. Anime has better stories, characters, character development, action, music, animation, depth etc. Hell, anime is just plain better than regular cartoons and movie with actors. Period. Anime also often contains violence, blood, and sex.

I like both for different reasons, but sorry, but I have to say overall, I like American cartoons better. Not even my favorite anime can compete with Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Beavis & Butthead etc. Plus, you cant beat the classics like Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry and the like.

Almost everything is debateable, Kazuma. The proper way to state an opinion when writing is to state it as if it were a fact. It is done in essays all the time.

American cartoons are simply boring and often have little point other than their comedy value. And frankly, I don't find Family Guy, Simpsons, and South Park etc to be very funny. They're boring and get old real fast.

"Classics"? Forgive me, but the "classics" are lame. No interesting stories, no good characters/development, almost no music at all, and no fighting. I dunno what more else to say. They're just boring and I find them to be a waste of time.

I'm dumbfounded that you say American cartoons are better than anime.

In truth American animators uses more frames per second than Japanese animators, but the frame rate goes by so fast you'd have to watch it in slowmo just to notice it at all.

The real fact is American animation is very limited in it's scope and target audience. You have the cartoons for the little kids(Rug Rats, Sponge Bob, etc..), the comedy aimed at older audiences (Simpsons, South Park, etc..) and once in a while they make a serious animated show for mature veiwers (Heavy Metal).

Anime just covers a wider audience group. Latly American animators have been trying to emulate it, with little real success. They can copy the look and style, but what they seem to fail at is grabbing a wider audience. American take the anime style and what do they do with it, they continue to target a kids audience with it (Totally Spies, (I know it's not American, it's French) Teen Titans, etc..)

I still wouldn't call anime a cartoon as that's a misrepresentation of the word cartoon. It's ignorant to say
Anime = animation
Cartoon = animation
anime = cartoon
Claymation is animated but it's not a cartoon, same with CGI animation. It would be like saying
Porche = car
Yugo = car
Porche = Yugo
They're both cars, but it's not the same thing. You can't put a Yugo on the same level as something like a Porche.

Not all American cartoons are lame, Clone Wars was pretty awesome. But that's provided you liked both the style of the animation and story telling.

I myself don't find The Simpsons, South Park or Family Guy very funny myself as well.

Interesting points there, Duuz. I have to agree that Clone Wars was a great series. I completely forgot about that one.

Family Guy, South Park, and The Simpsons are a little bit funny sometimes but overall their comedy value can't be matched to that in anime.

I like anime better. Most American cartoons have weaker story, characters, fight-scenes, etc. I'll watch the American stuff if it's good, Samurai Jack for example.

You must remember there are more to classics then just Bugs Bunny... I look at ones like X-men, Spider-man and His Amazing Friends, Superfriends, The Original Ghostbusters, He-Man, She-Ra, Wild C.A.T.s (Not as good as the original comic, but you must remember some of the kids that watched it were young.) G.I. Joe, Space Ghost, M.A.S.K, The Fantastic 4, Iron Man... Ummm I don't think I can think oh yeah wait.. The Thunder Cats and the animated movie they made for Gen. 13...

Then others that don't quiet fall into the classics catagory just yet like Harvy Birdman Attorny at Law, Pinky and The Brain, Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and The Tick.

Though needless to say I like them both...

While I do like anime's style and action better, American cartoons are just SO much funnier than anime. I like both, but nothing can beat a good comedy

I love both but there are more cartoons that are older or as old as Looney Toons such as Casper, Flinstones, etc. Tom and Jerry does show some form of violence and drug use.

I'm sure you can't because cartoon are not popular and soo little peoples interested to make a forum or covention for cartoon.

1) Anime began when Japanese film makers began to look at animation techniques used in the West.(that includes America by the way.) So, perhaps if the Japanese film makers didn't look into Western animation techniques in America and other countries, perhaps anime wouldn't be what it is today.

2) Most cartoons are aimed at kids during daytime, which is why they seem so childish. Only a few cartoons like Family Guy are shown late. While anime tends to be more mature than cartoons I'm pretty sure Japan has daytime anime/cartoon shows that are childish.

3) No offense, but what's the point of asking for somebody's preference in something if you're implying there is a correct answer?

4) Never mind the fact that the program might actually have a good plot/action or it's just generally appealing, the fact that it has ASIAN animators makes it great(!)

5) Cartoons aren't responsible for animes being childish. It all depends on the producer and what audience the producer is trying to appeal to. If the anime is being aimed at kids, of course it's going to be childish.

6) Excuse me? Tom and Jerry wasn't popular anywhere else apart from the USA? Here's a little something I took from Wikipedia. Now, normally, I take what Wikipedia has to say with a pinch of salt because the information there is fan submitted, but for once I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Seriously, I don't really understand what your problem is. Forgive me for saying this, but it seems to me that you're saying if a cartoon wasn't made in a place that was Asian, it is automatically inferior to anime, or a cartoon has Asian animators and to me, that is slightly ignorant of you.

Just iike the american who claim as Animation invention with the opposite fact that they actaully doing patent's piracy of Japanese Animation invention. It seems the western peoples [ at least you ] also doing the same. You can dream the Japanese or ASIANS making their products because of western influence since it seems the west can't make any Anime and can only dream they can make it.

By the way you are not replying any of of my questions as to why there are soo many Anime cosplayer, Anime forums, Anime conventions compared to cartoon cosplayer, forums and conventions. And for another fact, if you check the link on this topic starter, you will see that it is the west or non ASIANS who dreams they can be a cute adorable slender ASIANS when they cosplaying themselfs into Anime characters that were all reflecting ASIANS.

Maybe you want to say there are Anime characters using blond hair as a western character, then all the cartoon including american cartoon who use black hair also ASIANS then if you are using this logic. And the Anime characters who use blond or yellow hair in Anime are less than 2%. Not just black or yellow hairs, Anime characters also using Blue, Green, Red, Pink and all other colours.

Um, it seems like you're the one who's dreaming pal. Anime began when the Japanese started looking at Western techniques. In fact, you owe a lot of Westerners quite a bit. Do you wear denim? T-shirts? Trainers? Caps? All Western clothing. The Japanese seem to like baseball a lot. That's Western.

Many anime are inspired by things that are Western. You're just too blind to see it. Oh, and as for the Japanese inventing animation, you're wrong. There isn't a single one creator of animation seeing as many countries were involved in several animation projects. But if you want to get technical the earliest form of animation was done by Charles-Émile Reynaud, a French man. And the anime style isn't some impossible-to-do style of drawing. With time and patience ANYONE can learn how to draw it with skill and proficiency. Not just Asians.

Oh, so that's why people in China(who are Asian by the way) are having double eyelid surgery to look more like Westerners? People cosplay to be the characters they idolize, regardless of race. And not all Asians are slim and cute. All countries have beautiful people. By the way, I checked your website. Despite being completed, it seems very incomplete and despite you boasting to have an encylopedia about anime, there isn't anything there. And your staff consists of 3 whole people, not to mention the fact your anime "community" does not exist. Plus I love the way you always put "Asian" in capitals.

No, the thought of hair colour didn't cross my mind actually. And the characters who have blond or yellow hair in anime are less than 2%? Where did you get those figures from? Did you conduct a special survey on how many people have blond or yellow hair in anime(?) Oh wait a second, here's a better question: WHO CARES?

There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity. Stupid people can admit to being stupid and learn from their mistakes.
