The 12 commandments of Anime

The 12 commandments of Anime
1. Thou shall know what mainstreamers are
2. Thou shall not think thou knows all
3. Thou is not a anime fanatic/otaku because one focuses on a single anime
4. Thou shall realise what is anime and what is a cartoon
5. Thou will never blame anime for growing to have mentall illnesses/become a psychopath
6. Thou will never turn thy back on anime
7. Thou will honour/respect other animes even when thou does no favor a certain one
8. Thou shall be friends and make friends with other anime lovers
9. Thou shall try and watch different animes, even with subtitles (aka broaden your horizons)
10. Thou shall read manga
11. Thou shall not destroy any anime material(s)
12. Anime is thy friend, not thy enemy
I wrote this a while ago so it's kind aout of date and maybe needs some touch ups but I think it's about right. I live by these.

It's always violated 
We need like the Anime respect police or soemthing going ^^; Try to keep it respectful, and isn't it liek a basic Forum rule to be respectful and stuff?

This commandment has be violaited a number of times in the Sailor Moon forum.
It's always violated Sad We need like the Anime respect police or soemthing going ^^; Try to keep it respectful, and isn't it liek a basic Forum rule to be respectful and stuff?
++Well, I still think it is ok to critique an anime, stating why you don't care for it so long as you don't put down the people who do like it. I don't think there is anyting wrong with saying:
"_____ is too silly and fluffy for me."
"The characters in _____ just never came alive for me."
"I found it boring. I want my anime to have more action."
"I didn't like it because it was all fighting and no plot."
I take issue with people who say:
"____ sucks and everyone who watches it is a dumb-a**"

#7 is a hard or near impossible one to keep, as how can you respect or honor something that you hate? The down side is most people that hate or just say a title sucks odds are they haven't even seen or tried that title.
I've seen it happen here recently and not in the Sailor Moon forum. I don't think we need police to watch for it, that sounds too much like thought police to me. But I would like an answer when some one says so and so series sucks, I want to know why they think their opinion is valid.

Why not? It's the only way any one can read the Urusei Yatsura manga that Viz stopped printing years ago and never finished it.
