Biting Back Bile

Fighting the lonliness,
resisting the pain.
Trying to fix the links
in life's binding chain.
Lighting a candle,
to block the invasion.
Hoping the flame will stop
my mind's poisonous pervasion.
Waiting for the end,
to go in my own style.
I silently type while
biting back my own bile.
