Absolute Anime

Ok, So I'm a huge Rumiko Takahashi fan, and after reading Inuyasha (and I still am) I decided to look up some more of her work and found Mermaid Saga.
Don't let the name fool you, it's not a pretty mermaid fairytale. It's a gruesome horror/drama story.

I totally loved it. Anyone ever seen it?

It's the story of a man who eats mermaid flesh with his friends and they die while he simply becomes immortal and 500 years later he meets a strange girl while looking for a mermaid to help him and ends up saving her from a village full of them.
The whole 8 volumes talk about their adventures and the guys past.

i judged a book by its cover....

These little mermaids are some of the scariest creatures I've ever read about and some of their adventures and terrifying.
