When a tower weeps gently

(title is based of 'when my guitar weeps gently'...i've been listening to much Beatles lately XD)
basic story:
A large tower extended into the sky, high above the clouds. And legend had it that on top of the tower is an immortal soul was trapped and alone and for a hundred years on it’s highest floor and if one listened closely to the wind one could hear the wails of a crying child. The weeping stopped and was replaced by an infectious darkness which took control of the many tower floors allowing this darkness to command the hundreds of monsters levels of this impossibly huge tower. The
entrapped soul had gotten some much influence over the tower that it started to grow wider, and a dark army of demons grew to large to gone unnoticed. A large war was fought where the surrounding Five Warring nations of Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth and Wind had banded together and together created the Crusade of light.



This Golden Clad army had marched upon the darkness climbing it's many levels until it reached the last floor where the five kings had defeated the spirit at the cost of their own lives. After the Crusade succeeded in their mission the Tower was stripped down to a hundred levels, which still stands to this very day.


300 years later of peace between the five nations had disappeared, and the five nations started warring amongst themselves and because of their focus of war amongst each other the tower started to grow once again. Spreading it's dark influence in throughout the land until demons and monsters from the tower had started attacking the many lands. Although not as strong as it was before the five kingdoms began to ally together once more. The constant threat of the surrounding Vampiric Court had settled on a truce with the Element Temple and the Hidden Legion was formed, to help combat this evil

After 100 years of war, the new kingdom of darkness has sprung in the middle of the land, to a point of stalemate; unable to move forward the kingdoms and vampire courts have called upon adventurers throughout the land to hunt these demons and monsters from the tower, and now is a flourish economy between the countries, and the nationalistic feeling have changed to more of a competition between the five nations on which side can kill the most.

The Vampire Courts have always been an outside power in the five ands occupying the outside territories of the human realms, and only because of the threat from the weeping tower have they joined forces with the humans. The Temple Inquisitors (Vampire Hunters) and the vampire courts still have a strained relation only limiting hunts to vampire turned ghouls.

Characters are either in the Kingdom's Armies (fire army, water army, ect.) or members of the Frontier Company, a business of freelancers who make money off of their hunts; the Hidden Legion, a group of noble vampires and their circles who are upset with a new dark power in the world; and the Elements Temple, under the Inquisitor sect. The five kingdoms all have the ability to control their respective elements, and the vampires do not have inherent elemental abilities.
No Automatic guns or handguns, human technology is developing in gunpowder, with uses in cannons and muskets. They dislike the use of a gun so they don’t use it
PC's CANNOT be demons, spirits, etc.

Sect conflicts are between:
>Temple-Vampires (years of hunts between the two)
>Fire army-Water army (100 year war, similar to the French-English 100 year war)
>Frontier Company-Earth Army (many Earth Deserters are in frontier company)

all character start off in a free trade fortress of Seyda Rhine (say-da R-ine) where all the sects interact.

Bio: An Orphan who ran away form his orphanage when he was 13. he had found a master in the Frontier Company and had trained under him in the art of swordplay. his master died in a fierce raid three miles into enemy territory but was saved by a group of gunners under the Fire army. he had immediately taken interest in the use of guns and is a quite good with one. He occasionally sends money back to the orphanage he used to live in.

Bio: Despite her younger look, Kei was turned when she was 19. Having survived a attack, she fled her home, fearing the worst, and tried to drown herself. Only in succeding in killing herself, she came back as a vampire. She trained by hunting down other vampires that killed recklessly, only herself feeding when she needed too, but never killing the victim. She never reveals how long she has been a vampire, and works as a mercenary, hunting down creatures that terrorise towns. Works for freedom and money

Bio: Yume is one of the main Healers that heal anyone that you can imagine, with her water ability. Because of the weakness of her body, she struggles to adopt with offence skills, But is very good at Defence skills. She has been working as a healer of the Temples for many years ever since she was young. She had learnt her healing from other healers and became good at it.

Bio: Kirika's past is very unknown to many, even for himself. The only known thing about him was that he was trained to become a fire typed Hunter.
Being a Frontier Company he became stronger and increased knowledge about many things around him. He likes to kill anything particular in his path but there is one person that he is not willing to kill. The only person that he remembers in his past years.

It was a sunny day in the free trade city of Seyda Rhine. Seyda Rhine was the most prominent trading town in the allied lands closest to the Weeping Tower, and the Frontier Company guilds, Army head quarters, temple as well as the hidden legions underground network all shared this oddity of a city.

Seyda Rhine was a desert town, which was odd as on one side a few kilometers out of the city was lush green fields and another few miles inland would be the corrupted earth of the weeping tower. the markets lineed every single main street, and crowds went from stall to stall buying new equipment, resources, etc. from the inner hunts.

Seyda Rhine lived off the Weeping Tower hunts, and so long as the hunts and the battles continued the city would keep it's power. It was morning and people were already out, local family women lined the local bakeries to collect food for the day, adventurers clad in armor, and were walking out of the desert city, and caravans continued to come in and out.

down the northern strip road a teenage boy cloaked in a fine blue cloak, and his face hidden by his hood. a gun was strapped to his back, and a sword hidden behind his cloak. he made his way to the central temple and managed to find a place where he could see the beautiful view of the city. he looked eastward and he could see a thin building in the distance he smiled and pointed at the tower and yelled out "Just you wait and see i'll get to the top! and the name Aravin will be known to everybody!" he losed his enthusiasm after a few people stared at him and started whispering and he went to hide.
"who am i kidding" he laughed meekly "the only thing i have worthy of recognition is this sword" he drew the Katana and it was scratch-less, the blade had glowed white, which showed it's ghost killing enchantment. waving it around he put it back in it's sheath.

A red jacketed man had walked up to Aravin "hey you!...what's with disturbing the peace so early in the morning?"

Aravin bowed apologetically "Sorry sir, i won't do that again"

The guy had scratched his head in confusion "what's with you you were full of confidence before"

...i'm sorry i'll be leaving now"
"wai-" the guy tried to stop him but Aravin had ran off. an old monk had walked up to the guy "Iro what's wrong?"
"some kid was causing a slight disturbance"
"Kids will be kids...come lets get going, it's time for my pilgrimage "
Iro nodded and the two walked back into the temple.

In the large temple, stood a hardworking water healer that had been working all night to heal those patients with major wounds.
Yume smiled as she wiped off her sweat that ran past her forehead and down to her cheeks. She slowly walked over to a small desk that was layed at the corner of the room. She grabbed a pad and ticked off next to the names of the patients.
"Alright, done, now to get some sleep.." Yume says yawning as she headed to the door,
But to her suprise someone came in through the door.
"Yume-san" A man's voice says as he turned around looking for Yume.
Yume turned to see a tall man with long white hair that reached past his hips and a grey warrior typed clothes.
The man was holding an uncontious young boy that had scratches and wounds all around his body.
Yume gasped quickly, seeing this. "Zaki-san, please bring him"
She says walking over to a room with hospital beds.
Zaki layed the young boy onto the bed and stood next to the bed in worry.
Yume stood aside as she grabbed a bottle of water. She opens it as she places her hands ontop of the opening. She moves her hand up slowly as the water inside of the bottle slips out and floats ontop of Yume's hand.
She slowly places the water on one of the young boy's wounds. She wound begins to heal slowly and it closes up.
SHe moves to the next wound doing the same.

Kirika walked past the small buildings of Seyda Rhine. He went into a store to buy some supplies for his undirected journey and headed around the place.
Kirika never really liked crowded places, especially when there was marketing going around.

The Monk and Iro had walked into Yume's work place and waved. the monk looked at Yume and smiled as he started working with her on curing those injured and sick "Yume, my dear...are you sure you don't want to accompany me and Iro for the pilgrimage? we could use another healer on this trip" he smiled as he brought over a fresh bottle of water which he purified with a prayer.

Iro looked at Zaki and smiled "um...how are you doing zaki?" he asked feeling a little awkward while standing beside him silently.

Aravain sighed as he walked down the street and had entered a small store to escape the crowds. luckily the store wasn't that crowded and so he looked around for some food as he didn't have breakfast yet. he had spotted Kirika and looked at him oddly for a second before ducking into an isle to find some food
why isn't he wearing a shirt -.-...i didn't want to see a half naked man this early in the morning...and to add he's from fire country...that makes everything even worse

"I would have loved to go, but i just have too many jobs to do here" Yume says smiled as she once again slipped the water out of the bottle, healing the young boy's last wound.
Suddenly an old man looking in his 40s with another healer walks over to Yume. "You've done a great job, Yume" He says with a smile. "This is Kare" He says guesturing to the young healer. "She is a training healer that will be taking your place for a while."
Yume looked up at the man. "Oh, is that so. - Then it would be fine if i go with Monk-san and Iro-san?" She asked.
The man nodded. "Yes" He answered.
Yume nodded "Alright then." She says turning to the monk.
"Well i guess im going" She says with a smile.

Zaki turned to see Iro. "Oh, Iro...Im doing good, i guess. doing my usual." He says looking back at the young boy.

Kirika sighed as he wondered around the city/town. "This is so troublesome, why do people have to live with supplies..." He grunted as he looked around for the exit.

the monk smiled and bowed respectively "i'm quite glad... we'll be leaving after i finish praying at the main alter...so take these next two hours to pack up"
The monks bowed toward the old man and then put his hand on Iro's shoulder "well Yaga-sensei...i think were almost done for our pilgrimage into the heartland...but should we hire someone else...from the army perhaps?"
Yaga simply shook his head "there was an old friend of mine...i heard he had joined the Frontier Company...if you could find him...he has a sword called Soul Hunter...his blade is pretty famous among the water country...so you should know where to find him" Iro nodded and waved everyone good bye "well i'm off to the frontier company water guild... see you guys later" he smiled and walked out.
Yaga bowed to everyone "keep safe, and may the elements protect you" he said before walking out.

Name: Suzume (Suzu) Takashi

Description: hip-length black hair, purple eyes, black cloak, red outfit (think Strider from LOTR-just less bulk)

Abilities: light both weapons on fire, create a sparrow out of fire to scout a surrounding area
Bio: Suzume is a shy girl who doesn't really talk to others. She's very secretive as well. She ran away from home and joined the Frontier Company to travel, learn how to fight better, and to improve her own skills at controlling her fire abilities. She is, however, notorious for being hot-headed and stubborn-when she decides to do something, there's no changing her mind at all. The few friends she had before she left home had an extremely loyal friend who would jump down anyone's throats if they were bothering them. Suzume isn't too handy with a sword-she's better with her bow-but she wants to better herself in the sword fighting department as well. Her friends used to shorten her name to Suzu, as a nickname.

Description: shoulder length silver hair, really light blue eyes, black gloves, grey cloak, black outfit (this time, think Legolas from LOTR...uh, minus the pointy ears)

Faction: Hidden Legion
WoC: bow and arrow, fangs
Abilities: every day, normal vampire abilities-she can blend into shadows really well, too, and she turns into a wolf, not a bat.
Bio: Riku is a bit on the antisocial side-it's not that she's shy, it's that she doesn't think she gets along well with people. She is a highly accomplished assassin, and enjoys killing demons and shadow creatures, etc. She was engaged, but her fiancee was killed a few years ago, and she got a bit reckless with her own life after that.

Suzume wandered the streets of Seyda Rhine. She drank in everything, trying to remember everything so she wouldn't get lost. Since she'd never been to this city before, she found almost every sight fascinating. The only thing that made her uncomfortable was the amount of people-not that she hadn't expected it, though.

Really, what she was looking for was a secluded, quiet place where she might be able to practice her sword techniques a bit-she was just too shy to actually ask anyone if there might be a place to practice.

Riku was standing in an alley, where the sun had already passed and left it drenched in shadows. She knew no one would see her, but she could see everything that went on from where she was. She watched as people passed, completely unaware that they were being watched-well, except for the icy chill that slid down their spines as they passed. Her icy blue eyes glinted slightly, but most people did not notice-and she liked it that way. Her black bow lay beside her, and she leaned against the wall casually, the air around her bored and a little aggressive.

Aravin had moved out of the shop eating a meat bun. he smiled as he ate it and as he moved through the crowds he had accidentally bumped into Suzume when he dodged a a caravan of cows and karts filled with wheat. "sorry miss" he said as he started to walk away. he felt a shiver run down his spine then he stepped aside as he looked around

an assassin?...who would be after me?...no...vampire?...definately not during this time of day... he continued to occasionally glance around, when an old woman yelled "thief!" in which it drew his immediate attention.

The woman's exclamation made Suzume spin around on her heel, looking around for the thief. Aravin wasn't far off from her, but he was closer to the woman. Suzume began to advance towards the woman, but she stopped as she felt eyes slide on her and a shiver run through her. She recognized the chill as a vampire, and she looked around-she didn't take long in this search, because the feeling of being scrutinized made her uneasy, even in the daylight.

Riku drew back further in the shadow of the alley she was in, knowing she had been caught observing the busy city scene. She, too, heard the woman's cry, but it was obvious that the two most recent passersby of her alley were close enough to offer their aide-not that Riku would have in the first place. She and people didn't mix-about as well as her and sunlight mixed. "Then why are you outside at this time of day?" she asked herself. Not even she knew that answer to that. Oh, well. A question for another day, she thought to herself.

Aravin started to glance at the crowd taking out his gun he pointed it at the crowd "move!" and the people scattered he spotted a thief running away carrying a sack supplies from the old womans stall. he had ran after the thief gun still in hand it was too crowded a shot to fire in that direction. catching up to the their the thief had used his earth abilities to block the rout with a wall of dirt as he entered an alley.

"damn..." he drew his sword and cut the wall of dirt and followed after the thief. the thief ended up coming into a dead end. the thief swore under his breath and drew his weapon.

"cmon man you don't want to fight me here...." Aravin reasoned he had sheathed his sword in the chase prepping his gun once again "so give the stuff in the bag back to the old lady"
the thief spat "screw you!...it was the guilds who destroyed my thief clan! i'd rather see you dead!" the thief ran toward him.
