Oh God yes, he's just the poor man's version of Ritchie Blackmore anyway. I do love his early work with Alcatrazz, though.

98% of MTV and 100% Nirvana even though I'm a Dave Grohl fan.

Kurt Cobain had an ego? That's news to me. He made a song called "I Hate Myself and Want to Die" and took his head of with a shotgun. Yeah, real egotistical. And even if you hate their music, you have to admit Kurt had a talent for songwriting (perhaps too much so, as Nevermind has become the basic formula template for all modern rock)

Isn't the reason why he shot himself because he was becoming what he didn't want to be? And even after his death the fans just flocked like sheep. The band didn't need an ego to become overrated. If I have to hear another reason why Nirvana is the hottest [censored] ever to grace MTV I might end up shooting myself too.

That and numerous emotional problems

This is not the overrated musicians thread. This is a thread about egotistical jackasses who think they're the best thing to happen to music when they in reality, are not.

That being said Kurt did not have any real ego.
