Sesshomaru, it's no contest. Sesshomaru is far better than Inu-Yasha...who wants dog ears when you can have elf ears?! Sesshomaru's far stronger than Inu and more attractive.

Why? Sesshoumaru is everything any girl would want. He's handsome, courageous, talented, bright, ...somtimes a little evil, but who wouldn't like that? Not to mention he's got a big, white, fluffy, tail! *Faints*

Er, I hate to burst your bubbles, but the "fluff" is not a tail. It does not connect to his body in any way but in his true demonic dog form. The "fluff" is a furry pelt, warn by him because he is an aristocratic demon, a noble. It's a sign of his rank in society.
I believe Rumiko Takahashi, when interviewed and asked this question, said she herself did not know what it was and had given it to Sesshomaru for clothing/weaponry purposes.
But, yeah, Sesshomaru rocks. He is so handome -drool-
