lets face it my life sux...when i watch anime its like a love hate thing...i love the cool stories and everything but im kinda jealous. they get the girl/guy of their dreams...they get 2 die a cool death...i mean 4 me it like sux...i will never get that guy 2 like me...i wont have an adventure like that...ill never get super powers...i wont die a cool death(not that i wanna die someday soon)...i am doomed 2 work a middle class job, raise a few kids, then die from diabetes or a stroke or worse in my sleep!...god i hate my uninteresting life!

At times I am jealous of Anime, but I remember that it's an anime.
No one lives a fairy tale life, I know I don't.
Drugo Parents, Dead Brothers, A school of harrassing bullies out to beat me...
But Anime helps me survive in a way, I know that there are others like me who like Anime too, and it gives me something to do.
Don't worry SoulAnubis666 I'm sure one day you'll meet someone you really like, it may not be the Anime guy of your dreams, but it's someone special

yami's right soul. though, i'm just like you. i'm living my middle class life with my middle class friends in our middle class world. it gets boring. anime helps me to survive as well. i mean it's the only source of happiness for me in a world full of let downs and sadness. i think that everyone gets jealous of people on tv and the lives they're living. they compare it to their lives which they hate and their lives seem all too fairy tale and perfect. it is too perfect because no one's life is really that fairy tale. though we may wish our lives could be like those on tv, they can't. that's actually just another one of life's many let downs really. though i know these things to be true, i try to live my life happy and try to make it work for me. my life's not perfect but hey, we can dream.

Like a good book, good anime lets you "transport" out of the mundane for a while. Sometimes, it even gives clues to making "real life" more rewarding by illustrating the workings of relationships and how sticking to something and "doing the right thing" can pay off.

Yes, sometimes I do get a little jealous. Everyone seems have an important part whether it's saving someone's life or the world, the characters tend to be gorgeous, and things tend to always work out in the end.
But then again, would you really want to be so different from everyone else that people might think you're a freak? Or have to do something spectacular all the time? Honestly, I'll stick with my boring life and be content with watching animes. Don't feel bad though-everything does work out in the end in real life(it may take 50 years, but it will).

I agree. Anime is an escape. A happy story to help us forget. Something that can touch us. I love anime. I get so into the stories I cry. My mom yells at me about it. I was talking on the phone joking around and said I was gonna marry Sesshoumaru and my mom began to rave at me. The thing is, I know it's not real (Though I like to tell myself otherwise.) Ah heck. What am I saying? Anime is my life. I am so out of it sometimes. I'll be talking to friends (And I prefer to do this to friends who don't watch anime) and I say I am so and so and give a character description of an anime character. It's fun and it helps me get through it. Deep down I'll always know it's not real but I just humor myself and put myself in the stories and RP the day away in my head.

Jealous of a fantasy that for the most part doesn't have any realistic connection to my life what so ever?

Granted anime does present some situations and relationship that are beleiveable, but look at the characters in anime. Unlike us they are not sitting around watching the escapeist entertainment to fullfill their lives. They are out there doing it, which makes their lives seem so much more interesting than ours.

If you want a life full of excitement and stuff then stop watching so much anime and go out and live it. No guts, no glory. No rewards without risks.

Or you can live fun lives through anime and live safe and risk free.

Personally I like taking a few risks. No I don't have any aliens chaseing me, but I do enjoy my life as it is.

yes i am jealous of some anime.like ghost in the shell.becuase im really think it would be cool to be a cyborg.u could do all kinds of cool stuff,but u cant be one.so to lay it out,I personlly think that every one is a little if not really jealous of anime. Anime is made to be almost perfect so its very hard not to be jealous.

and if he doesnt like u he isnt wereth it.I bet planty of other guys like u.

Yeah; I do occasionally get jealous of anime, or rather, the anime characters. They're attractive, talented, and some other things that I might not ever be. But when I look at Sasuke(From Naruto) who had his entire family killed by his brother, or at Naruto(who was orphaned at a young age), I think to myself: Hey, I have it better than them...
And besides, I'm a rather lazy person so I can't really bother with the super powers and saving-the-day crap.
Sure, my life isn't as exciting compared to the characters in anime, but it -is- something.
Don't be so pessimistic; there are anime characters out there that, believe it or not, have had it rough and didn't get to fully live out their lives.

And as a conclusion, here are some inspirational(supposedly) quotes to help you out:

i get jelous of anime all the time. everyone is all good looking, have cool stuff, and at random you'll see an "anime expression" like a sweat drop. thats the coolest thing ever!!
