Absolute Anime

these days ur seeing, either,re made movies, super heroes turned into movies, or movies based off books......*sigh*....c'mon hollywood!!!

That's been known for years now. Hollywood and others have made so many movies over the years, just go to the Internet Movie Data Base or imdb.com and see. There are like 6,000+ movies released every year. How long do you think it will be before they run out of original ideas?

I find nothing wrong with making a movie based on a book. Often it's far more original than anything the writers in Hollywood have done. There are plenty of books out there that are good, too bad only the big sellers are the ones that usually get a movie deal. And all too often the book is dumbed down to make a movie.

The last book based movies I've seen that are close to the books are "The Last of the Mohecians" and to some degree the newest version of "War of the Worlds"

how about a comedy based on killer squirrels? bet thats a new idea!

Sorry, that was a topic on another message board. And they'll make a movie of anything as long as they're sure it will make money. I would like to see a movie of the Lensman series of books, but because of it's age and the fact that no one else thinks about it, it will never happen.

well, with all the super hero flicks, im wonderin when the silver surfer will be done.

I don't really think you could run out of ideas for movies could you? i mean there's just so many different areas where you could find something to make a half way decent movie about. However i think the reason hollywood is remaking so many old movies is because they've got a new generation to follow them. although most of them will never be as good as the originals to most it is nice to see what a new directors ideas can do to an old movie.

how about a film based on a tom clancy?

i'm sure hollywood have more ideas. there making pirates of the carribean 2 aswell, i also heard there's going to be a shrek 3.
