Kimblee is an alchemist that specializes with creating bombs out of both living and non-living objects. He will kill someone just to hear the sound of an explosion.

Originally Kimblee was a state alchemist. He participated in the Ishbal massacre, and is the reason for the scar on Scar's face. After the Ishbal massacre, Kimblee was imprisoned in Lab 5 due to his ferocious need to blow things up.

When Greed was freed from Lab 5, Kimblee was one of the people he took along with him. Getting bored of Greed however, Kimblee ratted out the location of Greed's hideout to the military.

Colonel Archer makes Kimblee his assistant, thus relieving Kimblee of his criminal record. Martel and Kimblee get in a brief fight, but it is Scar who ends up killing Kimblee.
