Character Description: Mai Taniyama
Mai was a normal girl until she met Shibuya at her school. After accidentally destroying some of his equipment, Mai ends up working part-time for Shibuya at his company, Shibuya Psychic Research Center (SPR). Mai and Shibuya do not get along very well. She even gives him the nickname Naru, due to his narcissistic attitude. But despite his attitude, Mai seems to have a crush on Naru.
Although she doesn't seem too spectacular at first, later on it is found that she too has some power. The power she has ends up helping the SPR many times during their cases.
Mai is 15 years old in the first manga book, though turns 16 as of volume 5.
