Anime Description: Guilty Gear

Generally a Fighting Game that was first released on PlayStation by Sammy in 1998, Guilty Gear was not a huge hit until the sequel, Guilty Gear X, was released in 2000. It was such a hit that they made an animated movie only released in Japan.

The story is based in the year 2180, in which the world has changed into a chaotic place to live. It starts with the discovery of magic. With wars happening constantly, magic and science was put together, thus the bio-weapons known as Gears were produced. Not too long after Gears were made they turned on their human masters, starting the century-long world war known as the Crusades. In the Crusades a human resistance was formed called the Sacred Order of Holy Knights, and they beat the leader of the Gears known as Justice.

The characters all have their own motives, Sol Badguy fights for freedom so people can do what they want, while Ki chooses to mindlessly fight for the holy knights. Baiken fights for revenge, her ultimate goal being to find and kill "That Man" (said to be the creator of the Gears). Jam struggles to keep her restaurant open and become a bounty hunter to make enough money, Dizzy just wants to live in peace, and pretty much every other character has some goal that is involved with Gears in some shape or form.
