In this surprising sequel to the classic anime Gunbuster, Gunbuster 2 tells the story of a clumsy young waitress named Nono, who dreams of leaving Mars in order to become a space pilot. Her life changes when she runs into a teenage robot pilot named Lark, who is a member of the elite psychic pilot team named "Topless."
However, when mysterious space monsters appear and attack Mars, Lark calls out the Buster Machine "Dix-Neuf" to take them down. Lark gets a big surprise when Nono uses her own super strength to help take down the aliens.
Afterwards, Nono joins Lark in hopes of finally realizing her dream of becoming a space pilot. But what exactly is Nono, and what type of power is she really hiding? And will it help turn the tide against this mysterious enemy?
