C.E. 73 Stargazer is a Gundam SEED spinoff that takes place in the aftermath of the Junius Seven colony drop that devastated much of the Earth in Gundam SEED Destiny (which will be forever known as the "Break the World" incident). Much of the Earth lies in a state of chaos after the devastating incident. During this moment of confusion, an organization of ZAFT remnants still loyal to the late Patrick Zala is currently taking advantage of the situation in order to create even further chaos.

The story focuses on Mobile Suit pilot Sven Cal Bayan who is part of the organization "Phantom Pain." Going into combat with the GAT-X105E Strike Noir Mobile Suit, he learns that the key to ending this crisis lies with Selene McGriff and the "Stargazer".
