Quatre awoke in a hospital room badly injured, and met Iria for the very first time. Later on at the Winner Mansion during an argument, Iria had revealed that she was one of Quatre's 29 test tube baby sisters. Quatre had been told that all of his sisters had been stationed at different resource satellites. When Iria had first met Quatre, she clearly did not want her baby brother to be fighting for the space colonies.

Sorry. That should have read: Although she dies with their father in the manga version, it's hinted at in the original anime that, in spite of his grief at his father's death, Quatre had enough presence of mind to get the badly injured Iria to a hospital, where she made a full recovery from a concussion and some broken ribs.
